Why Sony XH90/ X900H Can't Do 4K@120Hz in Dolby Vision - Explained (What is EDID?)

We explain why the Sony XH90 (also marketed as the BRAVIA X900H in the USA) 4K LED LCD TV can't do 4K@120Hz and Dolby Vision simultaneously despite the latest HDMI 2.1 firmware update. It's all to do with the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) on the television.

As far as we're aware among the next-gen consoles, the Sony PS5 (Playstation 5) won't feature Dolby Vision support, but the Xbox Series X will.
