In equinus gait pattern child walk on toes and heel don't touch to ground in all phase of gait cycle. This deformity can affect one or both leg. In equinus gait pattern, most of the time gastrocsoleus is spastic or shorten. some time this gait pattern can also occur because of flexion deformity at knee (apparent equinus). in early age this gait pattern can be managed by therapy & brace botulinum toxin but later on after 6 year of age, they need detailed evaluation of whole affected limb followed by surgery , therapy & brace. most of the time if properly planned then results are excellent and recurrence rate is very less.
