The Christmas Truce | Short Documentary Film

In 1914, soldiers in the first world war entered unofficial ceasefires all along the Western Front. These truces between declared enemies represented a moment of deep humanity after the staggering toll of the First Battle of Ypres. In the area between the trenches known as "No-Mans Land," the men celebrated the Christmas holiday together with songs, gifts, and games. Humanity on the battlefield.

Can we find the humanity in our own battlefields today? How do we see people as people when our views are so far apart?

What really matters in our lives is not what we get but what we give. We are who we are with others. Only you can declare your truce.
