Homebrew RF Power Amplifier: Part 3 Ferrite Rod versus Binocular Cores
Video looking at performance of the amplifier using both ferrite and binocular core transformers.
I used a 0.1ohm resistor in the VCC line to set the quiescent Class AB biasing. Each MOSFET was set to a quiescent current of 125mA, or in other words a 12.5mV voltage drop across the 0.1ohm resistor.
I acknowledge several design decisions are unconventional (especially the heatsink), but it's about experimenting and seeing what can be achieved.
