How do we know if a child is in trouble, being abused, or dealing with something that no child should have to experience? It is easy to think that a child in such a situation would show all kinds of tell-tale signs, such as crying often, acting out, withdrawing from friends and classmates, or other behavioral changes. As Crystal points out, however, this is not always the case, and even children who appear perfectly happy and well-adjusted can be keeping dark secrets to themselves. Teach children that they can share anything with adults, no matter if someone has threatened them if they do. ❤️‍🩹
