It does however take a bit of setting up, fortunately, if you have a look at the video you will get it right first time and not have to mess around.

Once connected there are lots of changes that you make and programmed on/offs you can set up. I especially like that you can set it up to work on information provided to it from the net that is location dependent (temperature, air quality etc). There is lots to get to grips with in this app and I'm just learning

I've been outside of my Wi-Fi network and can say that it definitely operates the plug via the App when outside of the home/office. Also easily operated from the plug itself, simply press the lit button to turn on/off and it illuminates accordingly. This is going to make my slow cooker much easier to control!!!
