Midwifery support worker parenting sessions

Midwives and midwifery support workers at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with the Local Authority, led the development and implementation of a new Integrated Health Service team (IHST). The new integrated service team has led to improved outcomes, working with families locally by providing support on a 1:1 basis, enabling services to be designed around each family’s specific needs.
