Lonestar Pro 1st Use. Our Tracker IV Died So We Take The Lonestar Pro To The Park & Test It Out.
We put the Lonestar Pro through its paces! Why? Well, our Bounty Hunter Tracker IV is waiting for a Return Authorization # from First Texas Products LLC (The company that makes the Bounty Hunter) so we can return it and have warranty repairs done. We have been using the Tracker IV very consistently for 3 months with really good results, and it suddenly died. We are lucky to be friends with Derrik, the owner of Discount Pawn. He has a Bounty Hunter Lonestar Pro that he said we could use to make this weeks video. We have never used the Lonestar Pro, but it is a Bounty Hunter machine, and we have had great luck with our Tracker IV. We grabbed the Lonestar Pro and headed over the the local park in St George to do some detecting with a machine we had never used. We watched a quick YouTube video on the Lonestar Pro's use and we started detecting. We were new at detecting when we bought the Tracker IV three months ago, and it took a few hours of use to really learn how to use it effectively - We wondered if the Lonestar Pro would be the same. It wasn't. From the moment we started detecting with the Lonestar Pro we were finding coins. The mid-day temperatures in St George, Utah right now are hovering around 110 degrees so we really didn't want to dig into the grass very deeply - we were looking for coins close to the surface. It turns out that we found everything from deep coins (Which we didn't dig) to many surface coins. I don't think we have ever found so many near surface coins in such a short time, and with the exception of nickels, they were all identified correctly. We added the coins we found today to the cache of coins to be given away in December and here are the coins in the Jar so far:
9 - Clad Quarters
1 - 1890 Indian Head Penny
1 - 1942 WWII Era Steel Penny
10 - Clad Roosevelt Dimes
24 - Lincoln Pennies
