Using Cut Vinyl to screen-print a shirt

I've seen a few videos on how to do this but I really wanted to try it myself. The first shirt came out great. As I continued to print I got a little ink build up on the right hand side that ruined the print. It took a little longer to clean that usual but I got running again and the vinyl lasted for 10 shirts without fail. I wasn't willing to run more than 10 shirts so I stopped. The cleanup was awful, trying to pull off cut vinyl that is covered in ink wan not fun. Something I would try would be to use a press wash over a trash can before going to the washout booth. The sticky vinyl and ink saturation didn't mix well with the latex gloves.

This is not something I would do for a production run but for a home hobbyist with access to a vinyl cutter... This would be a great way to do a small run without having to deal with emulsion and the timing to burn a screen. For the home hobbyist you would not have to purchase Emulsion or Emulsion remover. Ink wash, maybe press wash and you would be ready to do it again.

Explore and have fun, I'm using emulsion after that clean up!!!!
