FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried sentenced to 25 years in prison
The letters "FTX" were seen just about everywhere... the company allowed investors to buy dozens of virtual currencies, from Bitcoin to even more obscure tokens. That is until it all came crumbling down at the hands of the founder, Sam Bankman-Fried. Today, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for what is now described as one of the biggest financial frauds the U.S. has ever seen with customers, lenders and investors losing over $10-billion.
