Photography Tip - Shoot Professional Looking Head Shots At Home

Need a head shot or portrait for your driving license, work profile of web page? Model Abbie's agent asked her for some new head shots which needed to be clear representations of Abbie with out make up or cool looks. In this case a head shot is a look at the blank canvas of the model without loads of make up or styling.

As with all photography the key is to think about what you're doing and use the building blocks of photography to make it come together. Block 1 would be to find great light. Block 2 is to work out the composition, 3 what focal length do you need to achieve that etc...
