Composition Exercise with a 50mm lens (Part 1)
Here's a composition exercise which will stretch your creativity muscle and get you thinking about what works as an image. All you need is your camera and a 50mm lens - or a zoom set to 50mm and taped there so you're not tempted to play with it.
Why shoot compositions at 50mm only? well it's the way we see the world with our eyes and the least dramatic focal length (http://www.photographycourses.biz/medium_lens.html). So by composing pictures using 50mm you're going to have to work a bit harder.
This means looking for interesting items and moving yourself about to make the composition work. As you practice with this your compositions will become stronger.
