The New Forest is a unique place with rare wildlife and free-roaming livestock.

Drive with care – animals on the road!
Ponies, cattle, pigs, donkeys and, in certain areas, sheep roam freely across unfenced areas in the New Forest, including roads.
The ponies and other animals have no road sense, they wander across the roads, gather on corners and are unpredictable.
Please slow down, give animals a wide berth and be especially careful at night.
