Kamala Harris avoids the border because the VP will hear 'she's doing a horrible job'

Kamala Harris has been “jet-setting” around the country but avoids visiting the southern border crisis because people on the ground will tell her she’s doing a “horrible job” which the VP is in “denial” about, says Republican Troy Nehls.

Mr Nehls blasted the Biden administration's "excuses" for not visiting the border, arguing the "COVID" excuse is not good enough.

"That’s the excuse that this administration is going to use and look at her, she’s been jet setting around this country, going to all the different blue states talking about this infrastructure plan," Mr Nehls said.

"So, no this isn’t COVID Kamala and you know it."

Harris has not held a press conference on the crisis after President Biden dubbed her the person in charge of the response to a record surge in migrants 42 days ago.

The vice president spoke about the migrant crisis in Washington today but instead of travelling to the southern border to see with her own eyes the crisis unfolding, she took a trip to Milwaukee to talk about infrastructure.

Harris took the time to defend herself and why she hadn't gone to the border, stressing she had been doing hard work behind the scenes.
