Clock Pivoting Center Finding Tool Demonstration

As you progress further into clock repair you will want to learn an easy and inexpensive way to do Pivoting work instead of sending the work out to be done for you.
Pivoting has always seemed untouchable by the beginner due to the cost of a Precision Lathe with
Tail Stock and a vast selection of pivot wire with matching drill bits. Not to mention the hundreds of reasons you hear why it can't be done without throwing a lot of money at the problem along with years of practice.
I have made it easier, eliminated most of the cost and you can do the job with some practice in 20 min or less using our Center Finder Tool or one you make yourself.

Using a lathe to spin the arbor is a great help but any side ways jacobs chuck will work also. Like a small drill press laid on its side and position the drill table to give you a rest you can steady your hand on.
