Pool Wall Disaster & How We Fixed It

We ran into a problem with the in-ground pool. While prepping for the plumbing update, we discovered the original skimmer gaskets had failed and water had corroded and rotted the steel frame of the pool all the way up to the pool coping line. Luckily, John was able to reach out to some local experts to get a best practice approach to fixing the rotted wall.

It actually worked out though, and it has given us the opportunity to replace the old 7in skimmer with a wide mouth skimmer, and the ability to relocate it in a more efficient location.

Come along with us on this home renovation on the homestead up on That House On The Hill. We're a husband and wife team who, while expecting our first child, decided to tackle a major fixer upper of an old New England Craftsman's Style Bungalow and its surrounding property. This old house and property required total overhauls of almost everything. We're a family, we work insanely hard and long hours, and do things our friends think are crazy. This is our journey, and who we are.
