"Thai People Might Not Even Believe It!" - says NoNae (my friend), at the Fresh Market in Phrae

A meal of 'SoonSamYang' is a VERY strange, unique combination, one that I would love to share with you today!

Translating to simply "Three In One," I got the 'full option' combo, bringing it to 15 baht... but the standard bowl is only 10 baht!, and while it might look weird (possibly even ridiculous to locals, to combine these 3 things into one bowl!), I can tell you the combination was amazing!

Starting off this video at the 'FAT You Black Cocoa' Shop, my friend NoNae takes me to the BaanTung market. Right near her house in Phrae, although I doubt I could have found this without her, we go to have a dish that she's told me about several times, but I've never had the chance to try. The chef is a local legend, and even though the market is very small, you can see its absolutely packed!

Auntie Nid (Ba Nid) is the owner and originator of this unique recipe, is locally very well known and very well loved, and she would just sell out of this food whenever I had a chance to try.... until now!

A shorter video today, and I hope you enjoy these snapshots of life in Phrae. These are some of my favorite Thai friends, and in all my time in Thailand, this is one family who have welcomed my like few others - I owe them more than I could ever repay, for years of love and kindness (they're actually already in another one of my videos (they hosted me during the 61 hour bike ride from Khon Kaen to Chiang Mai! You can see me eating dinner in that video with P'Num :) ).
