A company based in Donegal town makes prints of religious art for commercial sale worldwide.

The Milltown Manufacturing Company makes hundreds of types of picture frames, mainly for export. Their other product is religious art. Unusually for a company such as this, they also own the original prints, having purchased them from a Swiss company two years ago, and now are the main suppliers of religious art for the international market,

Mission houses and religious repositories in New Zealand, Australia, South America, the United States, Mexico and France are their biggest customers, as manager Mr Timoney explains. Depictions of the Sacred Heart, the Blessed Virgin and the Holy Family are the most popular in Ireland, but

Other top sellers are Saint Nicholas of Bari and Saint Benito of Palermo, sold primarily in their own localities.
