Fun fact: Raccoons are omnivores, this means they eat both plants and animal matter! Fruits like watermelon and apple provide raccoons with energy, hydration, and nutrients like vitamins and minerals.

At our rescue center in Costa Rica, we do everything we can to ensure that the animals are provided with enough nutrients to recover from their injuries, which is why there’s always a big plate of juicy fruit ready for them to devour!
