Onboard an abandon Lake Freighter, the Ghost Ship J.B. FORD

The year was 2001 and I was a part of a video documentary team doing a show on the Great Storm of 1913. I had contacted Lefarge Cement to see about getting aboard their dead ship J.B. FORD. They said "yes" and even provided an escort. As a result we explored every nook and cranny and I took 4 rolls of pictures. Now that they are scrapping the big old boat, I figure it's a good time to take folks on a tour. This is part one of a three part series.

Keep in mind that this was all shot with 35mm FILM that was then sent off to be developed and printed. So if you're expecting high-rez. digital images, this ain't them. Also, we did most of the exploring in the dark- there was no electrical power aboard the boat.

I had to list this as "not for kids" in order for Youtube to allow you to comment. There is NOTHING on this video that kids cannot see. Watch it yourself and make up your own mind.

Look for Part 2 and part 3 coming soon!
