Idylis Air Conditioner heater trip breaker shuddering and shutting off fixed save $$$ repaired

This video shows the fix for most Idylis air conditioner / heaters. Please watch the entire video before you attempt to fix on your own.

Please UNPLUG the air conditioner so you don’t electrocute yourself. I took my Air conditioner apart WITHOUT instructions because I couldn’t find any on the internet.

While taking it apart I broke 2 little tabs that were being held by screws. I show them in the video and explain how you should take it apart. Watch the video so you don’t do the same thing.

All screws are Phillips head screwdriver.

First, take the little circle covers off the 2 screws on each side and remove the 4 screws to take the top off and unscrew the back. Second, remove the back. Third, remove a screw on each side to remove the whole front and unplug the wiring for the front display.

Now you have access to the cooling fins inside. Clean them gently with an old toothbrush taking care not to damage the fins. They will dent and bend easily.

Put it back together. Get some screen and tape to make a filter that will stop some of the particles and hair from getting inside. They will build up on the screen. Shut it down and vacuum the screen off regularly.

Keep an eye on the fins inside, they may become clogged again in the future and maybe at the regular intervals throughout the year take the whole air conditioner apart to clean it like a regular service to keep it working at max efficiency.
