With 10 Craftsmen, It takes 2 Years to Build & Assemble a Danjiri with Over 1000 Carved Masterpieces

Danjiri Matsuri Festival in Osaka takes place every fall in Kishiwada Osaka and surrounding areas. The festival has a tradition of over 300 years of history and this is a famous festival with the majestic and vibrant sound. The special highlight of the festival is when the Danjiri shreds through a tight corner going full speed. In fact, not everyone knows that floats are drawn and engraved. The people who make that masterpiece called Danjiri sculptor.

HARA was born in 1983 in Kishiwada Osaka. He has loved Danjiri since he was a child, and then went to high school, he has embraced the dream of becoming a Danjiri sculptor. So at the age of 16, he stopped his studies to follow his dream and became a disciple of KINOSHITA KENJI.
