DIY Washing Machine Motor Controller using IC 555 and IC 4017 | Forward Reverse Timer Circuit

In this video I explain a simple DIY washing machine controller circuit using IC 555 and IC 4017. The circuit automatically rotates the motor in forward and reverse directions with a small pause delay in between, making it suitable for small washing machine agitator applications.

The design uses:

IC 555 timer
IC 4017 decade counter
TIP142 / TIP147 H-bridge transistors
Automatic forward reverse motor control
Adjustable timing control

The circuit works without any microcontroller and can be built using ordinary analog components.
