3.7 V Li-Ion Battery Charger Circuit with Automatic Cut-off using LM393 IC

This video explains how to build a straightforward circuit for charging a 3.7 Volts Lithium Ion battery, featuring an automatic cut-off function.

You can charge this circuit using any computer's Universal Serial Bus port or any other well-regulated 5 Volts power source.

The circuit is specifically designed to charge a single 3.7 Volts Lithium Ion cell such as the 18650 type. It automatically halts the charging process when the battery voltage reaches approximately 4.1 Volts or 4.2 Volts, acting as an automatic overcharge protector. The circuit utilizes one half of an LM393 Integrated Circuit and a PNP transistor TIP127 which functions as the main current switch in the setup.
