AL: 2 free tools: 1)List Access Objects 2)VBA Code Documenter, step-thru OpenBypass -crystal, Adrian

Overview of two free tools with source code to document Access databases and VBA projects. See how to use them, and dig into some VBA, with Crystal Long (strive4peace), Adrian Bell (NeoPa), and Peter Cole.

1. List objects for all Access databases in and under a path. Did you write something great but don’t remember where it is? This tool can help you find it, and use for documentation.

2. Read the VBA in a project. Get a list of all the modules, procedures, lines of code, and references, for Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.

Crystal (strive4peace) shows how to use the tools and Adrian Bell digs into the bytes to explain the VBA to open a database and bypass startup code. Peter Cole converted the Code Documenter to VBA7 so it works in 32 or 64-bit, adds valuable wisdom..

Maria said that when she ran the Code Documenter on an Access project, she discovered there were 3 times the number of lines she'd estimated. She found Adrian's explanation on window handling fascinating. Adrian will be presenting at the next meeting.

Thanks to Colin Riddington for being the guest host and sharing alternate code to open Access and bypass startup.
