GitHub Got Hacked Yesterday!

GitHub confirmed yesterday (May 20, 2026) that approximately 3,800 internal repositories were accessed after an employee's device was compromised through a malicious VS Code extension.
this is the third GitHub security incident in three weeks. it is altogether a crazy thing that i can't get my mind off
