Rotator Cuff Exercises & Stretches (FOLLOW ALONG)
As requested, here are some Rotator Cuff Exercises and Stretches to help prevent injuries by keeping the rotator cuffs strong and flexible. This is especially important because our shoulders are the most mobile joint in the body which makes it that much easier to injure.
Today, we'll be stretching and strengthening the rotator cuff muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis), as well as the muscles around the shoulder that can cause shoulder pain and rotator cuff pain.
When I used to weight lift at the gym, I would include these rotator cuff exercises between sets using a 5lb dumbbell - regardless of what I was working out that day (chest, shoulders, back, legs). Sometimes I would use a stick or resistance bands. Rotator cuff exercises are great to do before exercise, when you're resting or if you're taking a break during the day if this is an area you're working on!
Rotator cuffs also help you perform better when exercising
