Rustic Fireplace Revival at the Dovetail Log Cabin

Some folks say that a log cabin is not finished unless there is a stone and mortar hearth or fireplace. I have been delaying this project largely because I have almost no experience working with concrete and stone. It started off looking a bit rough. but as I continued to work at it, I was able to create a functional and (to me) esthetically pleasing hearth. I also did some upgrades to the cabin including refinishing the floor, installing shelves, and redoing the window frames.
