Chinese Chicken 3 Ways!
Let me show you how to make Chicken, Chinese style, with 3 of my favorite recipes: Cola Chicken Wings (可乐鸡翅), Three Cup Chicken (三杯鸡) and Kung Pau Chicken (宫保鸡丁).

► Recipe: Cola Chicken Wings (可乐鸡翅)
500g chicken wings, in halves
5-10 slices of ginger
1/2 can of cola
2 Tbsp soy sauce
toasted sesame seeds for finishing
► Recipe: Three Cup Chicken (三杯鸡)
400g chicken thighs, deboned
2 Tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp light soy sauce
2 Tbsp Chinese cooking wine
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 Tbsp sugar
pinch of white pepper
1,5 Tbsp vegetable oil
1,5 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
10 slices of ginger
5 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 handful Thai basil leaves
fresh red chili to taste
► Recipe: Kung Pau Chicken (宫保鸡丁)
400g chicken breast
2 tsp Chinese cooking wine
1/2 tsp starch
1/2 tsp light soy sauce
pinch of salt & sugar
1/2 Tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp light soy sauce
1/2 Tbsp Chinese cooking wine
1,5 Tbsp Chinese dark vinegar
1 Tbsp maple syrup, honey or sugar
1/2 tsp starch
2 tsp ginger juice
1 Tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
5 cloves garlic, chopped
5 dried chilis, in chunks
1 tsp fermented chili & bean paste (doubanjiang, 豆瓣酱)
1 cup spring onion, roughly diced
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
1/2 cup cucumber, deseeded and diced
