1982 Chevrolet Pickup Turbo350C rebuild Part 1

Apologies in advance for the glitchy audio starting a few minutes into the video. I got some new recording gear and didn't realize my levels were too hot until after I was done shooting.

One of my regulars came to me with this project. I originally did the rebuild on his Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carb, and noticed the transmission was on its way out and warned him about it, sure enough, it failed. Watch as I determine the root cause of the failure (You won't believe what caused it!) The bummer of it is that I'll have to break the bad news to him as it's going to need about $300 worth of additional "Hard Parts" that got eaten up when the transmission failed. Additionally, I found out that the seller lied to him when he said he put a 350 in it. I checked the casting numbers on the block and it's a 305 relative to the year of the truck.
