Prague Masaryk Railway Station (Masarykovo nádraží) is (after the demolition of Těšnov Railway Station) one of the last impassable terminals, the main railway stations in Prague used for passenger transport, primarily regional from the eastern and northern directions. Its buildings address Hybernská 1014/13 and Havlíčkova 1028/5 in Prague's New Town. Historically, it is the first steam railway station in Prague. The railway station and track location were designed in 1842 by Jan Perner, the building by architect Antonín Jüngling; they were built by Vojtěch Lanna and the Klein brothers in 1844 1845 as part of the Prague – Olomouc line. Almost the entire station is located in the northeast of the New Town, roughly below the bridge over the North-South highway, the boundaries of the city districts of Prague 1 (where the entire check-in part of the station lies) and Prague 8 (head and part of the technical background) run.
In 2012, Penta's reconstruction of the station building began, which sold the surrounding land. The station was leased long-term under a contract for the company's rebuilding. The hall's roofing, sanitary facilities, facade, and non-residential premises were reconstructed. New cash registers were built closer to the platform. The author of the reconstruction concept is the architect Marek Tichý.
Near the railway station on the former technical and technical premises, a modern administrative and commercial center is being planned according to the project of the British architect Zaha Hadid. It is to be the construction of several houses and partial roofing of the track, which will connect the Náměstí Republiky and Florence area with Žižkov and, at the same time, create a new connection between the eastern ends of the platforms with these areas and the Florenc bus station with metro C. A new square will be made in front of Masaryk railway station exits from metro B.
Prague Masaryk Railway Station will also be the final station of the planned railway connection to Václav Havel Airport and Kladno.

Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) is the oldest and most important square in historical Prague. It is surrounded by historical buildings such as the Old Town City Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock, the imposing St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady before Tyn, and many houses and palaces of various architectural styles and colorful history. It has been a center of Prague's Old Town since the Middle Ages, a marketplace crossing European merchants' roads. The first houses were built around the Old Town Square in the 12 and 13 centuries. Some present homes still have Romanesque or Gothic foundations, basements, or ground floors. The Old Town City Hall was built in the 14th century, and the Church of Our Lady before Tyn was made a little later. The Old Town Square became Prague Old Town's economic and political center.
