Detroit Lakes Wastewater Treatment Facility Tour
The City of Detroit Lakes Public Utilities' new wastewater treatment facility was designed to meet one of the lowest phosphorus limits in Minnesota - an incredible 94% reduction from the previous facility. This tour walks you through the history and importance of the plant and shows what went into engineering and design. At the end, you'll go inside the updated complex, which includes a first-hand look at the unique membrane bioreactor complex and the hollow tube membrane filters.
