Stickybot: Climbing Smooth Vertical Surfaces with Directional Adhesion
Stickybot is able to climb a variety of smooth vertical surfaces using van der Waals forces. It has micro hairs on its feet that are directional, so to stick to the wall it must pull downwards along the wall. More information: http://bdml.stanford.edu/twiki/bin/view/Rise/StickyBot
