This video explains how to open a Swiss bank account for new arrivals to Switzerland, especially Americans, so they can open an account with no hassle. I recommend PostFinance for ease of opening an account and great service.
Most Swiss banks will not open accounts for American (USA) citizens due to FATCA; however, PostFinance, which is a part of the Swiss Postal service will.
