Keep rodents out of your garage

Rodents love using the garage as a highway into the house. The garage door presents many potential openings that mice, rats, and other rodents and pests can use to enter the garage and eventually the house.

The two main areas to check on the garage door are the weather seals on the side and the seal on the bottom of the door. These seals are usually just rubber and are designed to keep rain and weather out of the garage.
Over time, the bottom seal can become worn and even break. This allows pests easy access into the garage area. Pests like rodents can also easily chew through the rubber and gain access to the garage.

In this video, we use a product called xcluder to seal out the pests. This product has a woven metal layer inside of the rubber seal that prevents rodents from chewing through the seal.

I personally really like xcluder products because they are durable, do not rust, and are pliable enough to easily work with.
