Adult Lanternfly on Tree

Client called us to schedule a treatment for spotted lanternfly. When we got to their property, we found a giant ailanthus tree aka the tree of heaven. This particular tree was COVERED with adult spotted lanternfly.

The tree of heaven is the preferred tree of the invasive spotted lanternfly. The tree itself is also an invasive species that can be found throughout Pennsylvania and the United States.

In this video, we treated the tree and surrounding shrubbery to kill as many adult lanternfly as possible.

In the video you can see a dark mark at the base of the tree. This is honey dew that is excreted by the adult lanternfly as it feeds on the sap of the tree. This sweet honey dew attracts other pests like hornets, yellow jackets, and bees.

Our commercial chemical and equipment can professionally and effectively treat your lanternfly infestation.
