Switzerland 4k: Gimmelwald Switzerland Alps hiking with kids and family - tour

We've spent a MONTH in the little town of Wengen, Switzerland, just above Lauterbrunnen, and have explored relentlessly what the Jungfrau region has to offer and in "Switzerland 4k: Hiking To Gimmelwald in the Swiss Alps with kids and family - tour" we want to show you what we found. Of course, our favorite thing is to get out and explore the multitude of trails in the area. This day we take you to hike to the little town of Gimmelwald which is even smaller than Wengen. Near the top of the Lauterbrunnen valley, it has a stunning views and access to the James Bond famous Schilthorn but we just love hiking past Swiss cows and waterfalls and soaking in the magnificent summer sunshine.
Gimmelwald Switzerland village is small but has a couple of apartments and a hostel with a restaurant and beer garden. The hike from Murren is one of the top things to do in Lauterbrunnen. We started our trek by taking the train down to Lauterbrunnen, a gondalbahn up to Grutschalp, a train over to Murren, and started our hike to end up at the Gimmelwald Youth Hostel biergarten. All of this is overlooking the gorgeous Lauterbrunnen Valley and is some of the best Swiss Alps Hiking to be found.
There are hotels and restaurants galore in all of these towns and the trails are incredibly well marked so the hiking is fairly simple and almost no chance to get lost. And even if you do, there were plenty of other hikers to help redirect us if we had.
