Day 10 of a Brutal Stomach Virus | Hospital Stay with My Baby Boy (Raw Mom Life)

This past week has been one of the hardest of my life. We’re on Day 10 of battling a relentless stomach virus—Day 4 of our hospital stay—and I’ve never felt this level of exhaustion, fear, or heartbreak. Watching my son suffer, get weaker by the day, unable to stand, with sunken eyes and protruding ribs… it’s a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I’ve always had deep respect for mothers, but this experience has opened my eyes to the incredible strength of parents who go through medical battles with their children, especially those facing surgeries, chronic illness, or special needs. My heart is with you.

To the unbelievable nurses who have held our hands through this, THANK YOU. From cleaning up explosive diapers to bringing an extra blanket at 2am, your quiet acts of care have meant everything. I’m in awe of the compassion and heart you bring to your work.

What has truly carried me through is PRAYER & COMMUNITY. A friend started a prayer chain that spread to 3 churches across 5 states. Friends have shown up in every way—meals, check-ins, offers to help that I know are real. I’m still fairly new to Arizona, but the love I’ve received reminds me I’ve already built something beautiful here.

My son is slowly improving. He’s still weak, but he’s fighting. I’m sharing this not just for awareness, but as a reminder that we never know what someone is going through behind the scenes.
