With the aim of involving women in business and making them self-reliant, self-employed and reducing gender-based violence, the 'Deputy Mayor with Mother Groups' program has been launched in Beni Municipality-1 Ratnechaur and Ward No.-5 Pulachaur. In coordination with the mother groups leading women empowerment and social work at the community level, the program has provided skills and technology support to involve women in income-generating activities by mobilizing local resources and potential enterprises. Beni Municipality Deputy Mayor Jyoti Lamichhane said that the program has been launched with the aim of mobilizing the mother groups and making women economically capable, self-reliant, self-reliant and socially empowered. In the current fiscal year, the program, with a budget of Rs. 2 million, has provided training in mushroom farming to 125 people in Pulachaur's Setodhunga, Pulachaur, Nayagaun and Daduwa. Training in making decorative items from bamboo has begun for 20 people in Ratnechaur. The municipality has stated that two groups will be provided with training and technical assistance related to mushroom cultivation.
