Yah I know the home phone is all but extinct in 2021 but there are still some people out there that find themselves in need of a home phone for one reason or another. Whether it be for use with a security system or you simply don't want to give out your cell phone number to everyone or every service that requires a phone number. The thing is home phone service is often expensive especially if you're not bundling it with your TV and internet. The great news is you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to have a home phone, the fact is you can have one that's FREE! Well at least there's no monthly bill. There is some equipment you're going to have to purchase up front to get this up and running but after that you'll never have to pay another home phone bill again. As you know from the title of the video all you need is an Obi device (in this video I feature the Obi200) and a Google Voice account. In this video I show step by step how to sign up for Google Voice and setup the Obi device with Google Voice to create a free VOIP home phone. Enjoy. :)
