Episode No 32 - Lion warfare in Africa: Matimba vs Fourways
Ranger’s Report:
The 2 young males from the 4ways were looking for food. They invaded the territory of the notorious males Hairy Belly and Ginger Matimba. Somewhere between Mala Mala and Londolozi, these two lion coalitions were about to clash. It was a 4 male Lions fight. Famous Matimba brothers took down this young male lions. One of the 2 Fourways lions ranaway as Hairy belly chased him while the blonde male was caught and mauled by Ginger. A buffalo herd appeared at right time and interrupted the fight so that the injured male could be saved from the attacks. Sadly it was too late, the injuries were deep and serious. The unlucky male was found days later dead. It was the son of the Majingilanes... (23rd July 2014)
