“Even with no idea of where, when, or how things might end up,” Geoff Dyer wrote, “it was time to start work—on a book that ended up being written while life as we know it came to an end.” The result is his most recent book, The Last Days of Roger Federer, an examination of endings through the lenses of Bob Dylan, Beethoven, Burning Man, and much more. Easy Beauty by Chloé Cooper Jones blends journalism, philosophy, and memoir to examine disability, motherhood, and the search for a new way of seeing and being seen. Dyer just so happens to make a cameo appearance at a tennis tournament, too.

Presented in partnership with the Royal Society of Literature.
