Climate hunger strike ‘an abomination’

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the hunger strike for climate change that Gregory Andrews is on is “such an abomination”.

Australia’s former high commissioner to Ghana has marked 15 days of a hunger strike outside Parliament House in Canberra to protest the Albanese government’s fossil fuel subsidies.

“This bloke, this irresponsible nutter, thinks a big gas project would be bad for the world and bad for Senegal,” Mr Kenny said.

“Senegal is a poor country; it’s ranked about 160 or lower out of what? About 200 countries in the world.

“I think they need economic development.

“So, this bloke – thank God he's no longer an ambassador by the way – but he should go home, have a good feed, look after his children and maybe try and raise some money and help Senegal rather than dreaming ... about saving the planet.”
