'Prime Minister will have to address this': Worrying drop in secondary mathematics
ACU Senior Research Fellow Kevin Donnelly discussed the importance of secondary mathematics following worrying recent statistics.
Reports have shown a decline in Year 11 and 12 students taking up mathematics in school.
Mr Donnelly told Sky News Australia host Peta Credlin this is a problem “the Prime Minister will have to address”.
“We will never be successful in STEM.”
“All this talk about energizing the economy will never work unless we get more young people into university studying those subjects.”
