The anthem of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was played after exactly midnight of new year's day of 1982. The new year's address was made by the Central Comittee of the Comunist Party of the Soviet Union, Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and the Council of Ministers of the USSR. It was read live by the famous TV announcer Igor Kirillov on the Central Television of the USSR.
