Why Does One Of The World's Poorest Countries Sponsor Arsenal?
Rwanda, whilst having one of the fastest growing economies in the world, remains a widely impoverished nation in which 39% of citizens live below the poverty line, as the country looks to rebuild under the controversial leadership of President Paul Kagame.
There is outrage then, in some quarters, at the Rwandan government for paying £70 million to sponsor Arsenal for seven seasons, who Kagame's supports, and a further £7.25 million a season to sponsor Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG).
