Chinese Traditional Snack - Crunchy Fried Dough Twist (Ma Hua) Recipe - 原味小麻花
To celebrate Chinese New Year, I made my favorite snack. It is called “Ma Hua” which means fried dough twist. As you will see and hear, it is very crunchy and yummy!
Ingredients:
- 300g all-purpose flour
- 50g sugar
- 2g salt
- 2g baking soda
- 2 tbsps (30ml) oil
- 1 large egg
- 3oz (90ml) lukewarm water
Deep fry at 250℉ (120℃) for ~18 min using low to medium heat.
