Bob Dylan - Live in San Jose 1964 [RARE UNRELEASED CONCERT]

This concert, recorded at the Civic Auditorium in San Jose, CA on November 25, 1964, is rarely talked about, probably because it was sadly never released to the public (I don't consider a limited run of 1,000 vinyl pressings to be publicly released; it's more of a cruel taunt for Dylan fans).

Anyways, this concert is extremely special for a couple reasons. For one, the quality is pretty decent for an audience tape of this age. It's also fascinating to get up close and personal to the audience's reactions, such as when a man remarks in the first track that Dylan's mic isn't working. It makes you feel like you're there in the auditorium.

Secondly, this is last known recording of Dylan performing his topical song "Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues." The very last time he played it was at the Troy Armory in February of 1965, but to my knowledge, no recording exists of that concert. This is also the last time Dylan performed "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" until 1971 at the Concert for Bangladesh, as well as one of only thirteen live recordings of the masterpiece from the 1960's.
