Bob Dylan - Phantom Engineer (Live Newport Folk Festival 1965) [RARE FRAGMENT]

If you'd like to hear more rare stuff from Dylan's Newport performances, check out my playlist titled "Gems From Newport." Unfortunately, due to copyright reasons, I was not able to upload more than a minute of this gem. But I say a minute of Dylan is better than non at all. Below is some very interesting info on this upload.

After Bobby's infamous performances of "Maggie's Farm" and "Like A Rolling Stone," he played this rocker, an early version of "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry." For some reason, this track is widely unknown to many Dylan fans, which is strange for such a legendary moment in rock history.

Right after this song, Dylan left the stage to a thousand boos and a thousand cheers, then came back to perform "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue," both of which I've uploaded and can be found in the Newport playlist.

Enjoy this gem while you can!
