Repurposed Headboard Using Chalk Paint

My usual thing to do is reuse and recycle as much as possible, so I've repurposed this headboard using chalk paint. I've never used chalk or chalk type paint before and I'm loving the look and how much fun it is to used. It's a great diy material for any handmade or homemade project you have around your home. Easily cleans up with water and you don't have to worry about using chemical strippers to remove old paint or finishes from furniture. Just slap it on the old finish and get painting.

In this video I've repurposed my daughter's old black metal headboard for my guest room and updated the look. The process to create this stylish aged looking headboard was simple, easy to do and didn't require special tools, other than your own paint brush and sandpaper.
